THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start PHILISPIEL (*R A Venniker) and QUEST FOR THE BEST (A Mgudlwa) came together and brushed. b) At the 100m SUPER FAST (S Veale) was momentarily inconvenienced when racing in restricted room between VALIENTE (R Fourie) and PRINCEKRESH (M Yeni). c) Approaching the 50m PHILISPIEL (*R A Venniker) was brushed by STANLEY PARK (*K J Lihaba) which rolled in marginally. d) At approximately the 50m Apprentice B Plaatjies (SEA VISTA) accidently dropped his left side rein which he regained shortly thereafter. e) SEA VISTA (*B Plaatjies), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
