Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MR PIGALLE (G Lerena) was hanging in from the 350m. b) At the 150m IBUTHO (R Fourie) was momentarily inconvenienced when racing in restricted room between SYX HOTFIX (M Yeni) and CORSICAN (A Mgudlwa), and thereafter was switched to the inside of SYX HOTFIX (M Yeni) to continue its run. c) Jockey S Khumalo reported that LITTLE PRINCE did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Apprentice B Plaatjies (ACTION STATIONS) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. e) Trainer D I Campbell signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1., in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse CRESTED EAGLE. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed. f) SYX HOTFIX (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) CRESTED EAGLE raced in club colours. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) LITTLE PRINCE : Not striding out left hind. b) MR PIGALLE : Returned post-race having cast the left front shoe.
