THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TIPOURI (S Veale) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start TIPOURI (S Veale) and SCAMPTON (A Mgudlwa) came together and bumped. b) CONNOISSEUR (C Maujean) over-raced in the early and middle stages. c) RED MOUNTAIN (S Moodley) and SCAMPTON (A Mgudlwa) hung out around the turn. d) JOHNNY THE THIEF (R Fourie) was hanging in from the 300m. e) At the 250m PIETER BOTH (C Zackey) and TIPOURI (S Veale) came together and brushed. f) JOHNNY THE THIEF (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
