THE STARTER REPORTED: a) The tongue-tie on DEFINITELY MAYBE (K Minnie) was re-fitted at the start. b) CARBONADO (L Mxothwa) was stubborn loading, causing a delay. c) DOUBLE CHECK (B Fayd'Herbe) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey B Fayd'Herbe reported that, in his opinion, DOUBLE CHECK failed to perform on the polytrack surface. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. b) In view of the report from the Starter regarding CARBONADO (L Mxothwa), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 07/10/2023 to 13/10/2023 inclusive). CARBONADO may not be presented for re-passing during this period. c) DEFINITELY MAYBE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
