THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WHAT NOW MY GAL (D Schwarz) was reluctant to load. b) LADY LOXTON (K Matsunyane) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, YOUREYESONLY (A Andrews)) had to be steadied away from the heels of CAMARADERIE (G Wright) when bumped outwards by JET GREEN (M Yeni), which shifted outwards leaving the stalls. b) Approaching the 300m LOVE SHACK (A Domeyer) was carried inwards marginally by MISS LEMONADE (J Solomons), which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened. c) Jockey D de Gouveia reported that SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL, which over raced in the early and middle stages, failed to respond to his urgings in the straight. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) Trainers H Crawford/M Rix were charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that they failed to vaccinate WHAT NOW MY GAL against Equine Influenza in accordance with the program of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer M Rix signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000.00. e) VIX PRINCESS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Snaith, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised.
