Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) UNDERCOVER LOVER (O Noach) was reluctant loading. b) BLUE BAY (*MK Katjedi) jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. c) SIR ANTHONY (C Orffer) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start PLUS FOUR (A Domeyer) and MCENROE (G Wright) brushed. b) BLUE BAY (*MK Katjedi), which was hanging in in the straight, shifted in leaving the 200m and then took an awkward stride when close to the inside running rail. c) Jockey A Domeyer reported that PLUS FOUR took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. d) The saddle on SIR ANTHONY (C Orffer) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward. e) DAS GUTE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PAW Botha was advised.
