THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	VICTORY OF DUBAI (M Yeni) was stubborn loading.
b)	JAQUAR CAT (J Gates) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	GLOBAL FORCE (L Mxothwa) jumped slow, losing one length.
d)	GEORGIE GEORGE (E Webber) jumped slow, losing two lengths.
e)	ESTHER (R Fourie) jumped awkwardly and stumbled leaving the stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	RAPTOR ISLAND (*N Nastili) cast its right front shoe leaving the stalls.
b)	Shortly after the start VICTORY OF DUBAI (M Yeni) shifted outwards and made contact with TIGER IN RED (Y Ramzan), which in turn made contact with SPANISH FORT (M Mjoka). 
c)	At the 800m PARIS RIX (*T Mayhew) raced onto the heels of VICTORY OF DUBAI (M Yeni) and had to be steadied.
d)	At the 450m VICTORY OF DUBAI (M Yeni) took an awkward stride away from the inside rail and was momentarily unbalanced. 
e)	Jockeys M Yeni and Y Ramzan, the riders of VICTORY OF DUBAI and TIGER IN RED respectively, reported that these geldings coughed post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f)	Jockey M Mjoka reported that SPANISH FORT was blowing post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
g)	Jockey J Gates reported that JAQUAR CAT made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this horse.
h)	WARBONNET CREEK (IRE) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr K Davis)
i)	PARIS RIX, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (LM)
