THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RAFINO (C F Dicken) lost 1 length. b) SWEEPER KEEPER (S Moodley) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 900m MENT TO FLY (M Thackeray) was inconvenienced on two occasions on the inside of ZIN ZAN DAN (*N Nastili) which was carried in by CAPPELLINO (J Jacobs) which rolled in marginally. Jockey J Jacobs appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear of other runners when shifting ground in races in future. b) THE BIG SHORT (B Jacobson) was hanging out throughout and raced green. c) At the 150m Apprentice K J Lihaba (LUCKY MURPHY) accidentally dropped his crop. d) Jockey S Moodley reported that SWEEPER KEEPER faltered on a number of occasions in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) BUOYANT KNIGHT (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M D Miller advised (HM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) BUOYANT KNIGHT raced with an alumite bar shoe near hind (advised 26.10.2023/08h30). b) RAFINO raced equipped with blinkers (advised 28.10.2023/08h20).
