THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	MIDNIGHT GEM (D Schwarz) was stubborn loading.
b)	AMPERSAND (P Mxoli) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
c)	ARGO ALLEY (R Danielson) and SAMUEL SALT (*T Mayhew) were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	MIDNIGHT GEM (D Schwarz) proved reluctant proceeding to the start and had to be led by a Handler. 
Trainer P P Labuschagne was advised that should this mare behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended.
b)	SEA ANEMONE (J P van der Merwe) proved reluctant proceeding to the start and had to be led by a Handler. Assistant Trainer P Dlhamini, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended.
c)	Shortly after the start, ARGO ALLEY (R Danielson) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the inside of AMPERSAND (P Mxoli), which jumped sharply inwards leaving the stalls.	
d)	At approximately the 800m, SAMUEL SALT (*T Mayhew), which commenced to over-race, was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of SEA ANEMONE (J P van der Merwe).
e)	Jockey	D De Gouveia reported that BOLD ACT did not stride out freely in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. 	
f)	SEA ANEMONE (J P van der Merwe), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer P Dlhamini, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, was advised (MduP).

JOCKEY CHANGES:
a)	SAMUEL SALT: Apprentice T Mayhew weighed out at 54,4kg, only claiming 2kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance as declared.
