THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	LONTANO (X Ndlovu) was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	During the loading process GRACE UPON GRACE broke through the front of the starting stalls, dislodged Jockey K Minnie, bolted the course, was taken in hand, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay.
b)	HEARTLIGHT (S Khumalo) was hanging in in the straight.
c)	The saddle on MORE THAN A DREAM (L Mxothwa) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward.
d)	Jockey M Mjoka reported that KIT KAT CLUB choked up in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e)	Jockey X Ndlovu reported that LONTANO changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f)	In view of the performance of HAT'S MIRACLE (R Khathi) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
g)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding GRACE UPON GRACE (K Minnie), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. (Suspension dates: 11/11/2023 to 17/11/2023 inclusive). GRACE UPON GRACE may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
h)	Jockey M Yeni was charged with a contravention of Rule 56.4.1.3 in that he failed to proceed to the parade ring immediately after being instructed to do so by the Clerk of Scales.  Jockey M Yeni signed Admission of Guilt and was fined R500,00.
i)	BURN BABY BURN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)
