THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AMEENA (R Danielson) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BLUE HOLLY (P Mxoli) raced wide on the turn and into the straight. b) Leaving the 300m OCTOBER MORN was directed outwards away from the heels of ONI SAN (A Arries) and, as a consequence, Jockey R Fourie hesitated with his riding, rolled out and brushed BLUE HOLLY (P Mxoli), which was hanging in. c) HUNTING TRIP (G van Niekerk) was hanging out from the 300m. d) Jockey R Danielson reported that AMEENA did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) BALTIC SECRET, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised.
