THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MRS BROWNING (R Fourie) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) TROPPO VELOCE (K Matsunyane) and GOOD QUEEN BESS (R Danielson) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly before the finish line, FLOWERBOMB (C Maujean) was bumped in by BOMBER GIRL (D Schwarz), which shifted in sharply away from the crop. b) Jockey C Maujean reported that FLOWERBOMB changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey A Mgudlwa reported that he felt something amiss with NO FILTER in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) MRS BROWNING (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MduP). e) COLDHARDSTARE (G van Niekerk), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Azzie advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) BOMBER GIRL was ridden by Jockey C Habib (declared 25 November 2023 at 16H16). Jockey D Schwarz was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the correct carded weight on BOMBER GIRL, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with Trainer M N Prinsloo.
