Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	SUN BLUSHED (*R A Venniker) became restless and rushed the front gates. This gelding was released from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and reloaded. 
b)	PYROMANIAC (P Strydom), CABINET SHUFFLE (K A Brewer), DUKE OF SUSSEX (C Zackey) and SILENT WAR (C Habib) were slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Approaching the 200m, SILVER TUDOR (S Moodley) was steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of CHYAVANA (G Lerena), which shifted out. Shortly thereafter, CELTIC RUMOURS (R Fourie) was steadied to avoid the heels of CHYAVANA (G Lerena), which continued to shift out. 
Jockey	G Lerena was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of CHYAVANA, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to CELTIC RUMOURS (R Fourie) and SILVER TUDOR (S Moodley) when he shifted out at approximately the 200m. Jockey G Lerena signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of ten (10) days.
Suspension dates:  10 December 2023 to 19 December 2023 (both days inclusive).  	
b)	Apprentice R A Venniker reported that she felt something amiss with SUN BLUSHED in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
c)	Jockey J Penny reported that he felt something amiss with FUNKY MUSIC in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
d)	UNZEN (D Schwarz), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
