THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ROSY FUTURE (*R A Venniker) over raced in the early and middle stages. b) The saddle on FREE WILL (C F Dicken) slipped back when this filly was encouraged in the final straight. This was confirmed by the video evidence. c) Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss with DOCTOR'S ORDERS in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performances of TWO MINDS (A Mgudlwa), (10.50 lengths behind and 8/1 in the betting) and IF YOU SAY SO (J Gates), (16.20 lengths behind and 40/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) HOT STRIKE (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
