THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	BONNAROO (R Fourie) refused to load and was withdrawn, causing a delay.
b)	VEGAS GOLD (*KJ Lihaba) stumbled leaving the stalls.
c) 	WHATEVER NEXT (K Minnie) fly-jumped leaving the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride.
d)	THE WINTER LAKE (L Mxothwa) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Jockey M Yeni reported that SEATTLE RIPPER felt uncomfortable in its action and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
b)	Jockey M Mjoka reported that TIPSY TINA changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
c)	GREAT MELODY (S Khumalo) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr K Spargo)
d)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding BONNAROO (R Fourie), this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 14 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 23/12/2023 to 05/01/2024, both dates inclusive). BONNAROO may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
