THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HARLEY'S FATE (M Yeni) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) TARA STAR (*R A Venniker) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. b) Jockey C F Dicken reported that he felt something amiss in the running with KITTEN'S ADVENTURE. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the performance of MAGICALLEE (A Mgudlwa) (7.90 lengths, 17/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Apprentice S Hlengwa signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E; Guideline M) in that he, as the rider of ASPOESTERTJIE misused his crop by striking this filly more than twelve times (14) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R4000 was imposed. e) TARA STAR (*R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D W Moore advised (DZ).
