THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TOKYO TOWER (C Bantam) jumped slow, losing one length. b) RED SKYLINE (G Wright) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MR BELVEDERE (R Fourie) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. b) At the 1200m CLAW (C Orffer), which raced green, was steadied when close to the heels of PRINCE OF TIBET (C Zackey). c) In view of the performance of RED SKYLINE (G Wright), which trailed the field throughout, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey C Bantam reported that TOKYO TOWER made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) LIGHTNING GLOW, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised.
