b)	LUCRETIUS (R A Venniker) lost 2 lengths.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	At the 250m FINE ADMIRAL (*S Hlengwa) was squeezed out between LUCRETIUS (R A Venniker) which rolled out and ICE KINGDOM (M Yeni) which rolled in.
b)	Approaching the 200m AFROPOLITAN (*K J Lihaba) which shifted out away from the crop, and ANCIENT WORLD (T Godden) which was hanging in, came together and bumped on three occasions. A race review was called into this incident by a member of the Stipendiary Board in the presence of Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) and Apprentice K J Lihaba, who was accompanied by Riding Master M Ball. After viewing the patrol videos from the various angles, the Board was of the opinion that there were dual movement from both horses on all three occasions and could not be satisfied that this incident would have affected the outcome of the race. Therefore no further action was taken and the Judge's result was allowed to stand.
c)	In the concluding stages ICE KINGDOM (M Yeni) and EVENTIDOR (A Mgudlwa) were carried in marginally by BANZAI PIPELINE (C Habib) which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened.
d)	Jockey C Zackey reported that FIREFLARE raced with its tongue over the bit.
