THE STARTER REPORTED A) SAND BANK, CRIONNA and SUNSET REAPER were stubborn loading. B) BLONDE MAGIC and FOREST SPY were slow into stride. C) CHEVELEY MOON was nervous in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) BLONDE MAGIC (T M Musekiwa) gave ground to the field progressively from the start and was not persevered with from the 200m. In view of this report, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. B) Jockey K Minnie reported that CHEVELEY MOON made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. C) SUNSET REAPER (L Mxothwa) shifted out away from the crop, from the 400m to the 200m. D) The winner FOREST SPY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer G D Smith advised (LM). E) The unplaced horse BLONDE MAGIC was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer J A Visser advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) BLONDE MAGIC raced equipped with alumites front, unshod behind (18:55 - 17/02/2022).
