THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LINKIN NAVIGATOR (G Lerena) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Trainer J A Visser was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.3 in that he failed to vaccinate FAUSTINO against African Horse sickness in accordance with the programme of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer J A Visser signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1000 was imposed. Trainer J A Visser was advised that FAUSTINO may not be nominated for any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority until fully vaccinated against African Horse Sickness. b) LINKIN NAVIGATOR (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J J van Vuuren advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) FAUSTINO was due to be ridden Jockey J R Syster (declared 12 February 2024 at 11H00). b) ETHANATOR was ridden by Jockey K Matsunyane (declared 9 February 2024 at 15H53).
