THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SAN MARZANO (S Veale) lost 1 length. b) BRASS BELL (S Khumalo) stumbled leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the 300m WAVE WARRIOR (A Mgudlwa) and SAN MARZANO (S Veale) came together and brushed. b) At the 150m, BALLY MAGIC (M Yeni) was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of STEVIE GEE (J Jacobs) which had come to the end of its run. As a result, BRASS BELL (S Khumalo) was carried out by BALLY MAGIC (M Yeni). c) The saddle on FISH EAGLE (R Fourie) slipped backwards in the running. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. d) Jockey C Habib reported that RAFIKI changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) FISH EAGLE (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Binda advised (DZ).
