THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	THE ABDICATOR (IRE) (C Zackey) and ELUSIVE WINTER (S Veale) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	At the finish, NORDIC CHIEF (C Orffer) was awkwardly placed on the inside of TOUGH TERRAIN (G van Niekerk), which rolled in and was immediately straightened.
b)	Jockey A Andrews reported that the bit on MAJOR APOLLO, which was hanging out from the 400m, pulled through this geldings mouth and he did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
c)	TOUGH TERRAIN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Snaith, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised. (TJ)
