THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FLAMBOYANT FLYER (*T Mayhew) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) OFF LIMITS (D Daniels) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) KAKIEBOS (R Danielson) hung in throughout. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) In view of the performance of FLAMBOYANT FLYER (*T Mayhew), (distance 7,75 lengths, betting 9/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey C Maujean did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. Thereafter, Jockey C Maujean reported that LEONESSA did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) An inquiry will be opened into Jockey R Danielson's (KAKIEBOS) crop use during the running of this Race. e) PRIMROSE PATH (*K J Lihaba), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F Bronkhorst advised (LK). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) KAKIEBOS was ridden by Jockey R Danielson (declared 7 March 2024 at 14H38). b) FLAMBOYANT FLYER: Apprentice T Mayhew weighed out at 54,4kg, only claiming 3,5kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance as declared. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) KAKIEBOS examined post race, nothing obvious detected. b) FLAMBOYANT FLYER not striding out left hind. c) LEONESSA bilateral nasal discharge. d) PRICELESS mouth injury. e) FEELING GROOVY speedy cut right hind.
