THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) 		SAMUEL SALT (C Habib) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	TINDER DRY (C Maujean) was slow into stride.	
c)	HOPE IS POWER (*K A Brewer) was slow losing many lengths.	The starting stall certificate for this 	gelding has been withdrawn. Stable Employee C Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer C Binda, advised 	(GT).	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	VEGAS HI RISE (C Zackey) hung out from 300m.
b)	Jockey	M van Rensburg reported that WRITTEN IN STONE changed stride continually in the running.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
c)	In view of the Starter's report with regard to HOPE IS POWER, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable jumping from the starting stalls. 
	Suspension dates: 23 February 2022 to 1 March 2022. HOPE IS POWER may not be presented for re-	passing during this period. Stable Employee C Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer C Binda, advised.  
d)	CLEAVER GREENE (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, advised (RS).
