Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SUMMER OF DREAMS (*DB Geerthsen) refused to load and was withdrawn, causing a delay. b) JUST FOREVER (Y Ramzan) jumped inwards and made contact with YOUCRACKMEUP (S Naidoo). c) ANGELSEA (D Schwarz) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. d) DREAMSCAPE (*T Mayhew), BURN BABY BURN (K Minnie) and KILMONIVAIG (R Danielson) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) YOUCRACKMEUP (S Naidoo) was hanging in badly from the 300m. b) At the 200m SWIFTWINGED (S Khumalo), which had shifted out away from the crop from the 250m, was steadied in anticipation of being awkwardly placed on the heels of JUST FOREVER (Y Ramzan), losing momentum. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine SWIFTWINGED. Race 8 contd. c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding SUMMER OF DREAMS (*DB Geerthsen), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 14 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 13/03/2024 to 26/03/2024 inclusive). SUMMER OF DREAMS may not be presented for re-passing during this period. d) YOU WIN AGAIN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
