THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRETTY IN PEARLS (P Mxoli) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) RYAN'S DREAM (M Yeni) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) KAMBULU (C Maujean) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BLACK LIGHTNING (D Schwarz) hung in from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey D Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with BLACK LIGHTNING in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Jockey R Fourie reported that ROSY LEMON made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) DONNA MO (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer P D Lhamini, acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford, was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
