THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MR COBBS (A Domeyer) and SLIM JANNIE (D Daniels) bumped leaving the stalls. As a consequence, DANCE VARIETY (C Orffer) and YELLOWPORSCHEROAD (S Veale) made contact and again shortly thereafter. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 150m SLIM JANNIE (D Daniels) lost position when it was steadied when awkwardly placed between the heels of MUFASA (L Mxothwa) and MR COBBS (A Domeyer), both of which shifted ground marginally. b) YELLOWPORSCHEROAD (S Veale) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr B Gillespie) c) WINTER CLOUD, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
