THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SHOEFELLA (R Fourie) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SELUKWE (R A Venniker) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) At the 150m PAPA C (*K J Lihaba) was brushed in by ONLY A POET (T Godden) which rolled in and was immediately straightened. c) Jockey C Habib reported that DUKE OF OXFORD did not stride out freely in the running and as a result he did not persevere with his ride from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss in the running with SHOEFELLA. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) TEMPERATE ZONE (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
