THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ELEMBEE (P Mxoli), MIZZEN SAIL (D De Gouveia) and QUIET REBELLION (C Habib) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ALPHABETTY (J Gates) over-raced in the early stages. b) Approaching the 100m, ALPHABETTY (J Gates), which hung in from the top of the straight, was steadied to avoid the heels of ELEMBEE (P Mxoli), which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately corrected. c) MIZZEN SAIL (D De Gouveia) commenced to give ground to the field from the 200m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) MARY'S GREENLIGHT (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer P D Lhamini advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) QUIET REBELLION: Jockey C Habib weighed out at 54,5kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) ELEMBEE raced equipped with cheek pieces (declared 22 March 2024 at 11H37). b) QUIET REBELLION raced with a tongue tie on (declared 21 March 2024 at 06H40). c) SOLDIER'S EYE raced with club colours (blue with a black cap) Stipes permission.
