Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VOLTE FACE (M van Rensburg) was slow losing one length. b) GILDA GRAY (S Khumalo) and GUY ALEXANDER *K J Lihaba) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, VOLTE FACE (M van Rensburg) jumped awkwardly outwards making contact with the left-side front gate. b) Leaving the 200m, HAKAS KRAKAS (K Matsunyane) was carried out marginally by HIS MASTER'S VOICE (J Greyling), which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately straightened. c) In view of the performance of EIGER SANCTION (P Strydom), (distance 14,00 lengths, betting 10/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. d) HIS MASTER'S VOICE (J Greyling), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Khan advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) LORNA LILLY: Jockey R Danielson weighed out at 56,7kg, 1kg over the carded weight as declared. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) JP TWO THOUSAND raced equipped with blinkers and a compression mask (declared 3 April 2024 at 11H16). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) EIGER SANCTION examined post race, nothing obvious detected. b) GREEN SCEPTRE abnormal respiratory noise. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
