THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MARY'S GREENLIGHT (M Yeni) over-raced in the early stages. b) At approximately the 200m, MARY'S GREENLIGHT (M Yeni) had to be steadied when awkwardly placed between the outside running rail and SEA GODDESS (C Maujean) which was switched out to avoid running onto the heels of IVY LEAGUE (S Khumalo) after having been carried out by INDIAN OCEAN (A Mgudlwa) which shifted out away from the crop and was straightened. c) Leaving the 200m, SLEEK AS SILK (C Habib) had to be steadied in anticipation of being awkwardly placed on the heels of LUCKY MISS (R Venniker) which was carried out marginally by CELTIC BEAUTY (R Fourie) which rolled out. After viewing the patrol videos of this Race, the Board was satisfied that LUCKY MISS (R Venniker) was sufficiently clear of SLEEK AS SILK (C Habib). d) In view of the performance of BALLROOM BLISS (*K J Lihaba) (4.80 lengths and 14/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Trainer B D Botes signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse IVY LEAGUE. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed. f) CELTIC BEAUTY (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A J Rivalland advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) IVY LEAGUE raced in club colours. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) None.
