Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	GEORGIE GEORGE (M van Rensburg) was stubborn loading and thereafter jumped outwards, losing two lengths.
b)	EXHALE (R Fourie) and DUKE OF ORANGE (*N Nastili) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	JACKSON MISISSIPPI (C Maujean) had to be re-saddled prior to leaving the parade ring, causing a delay.
b)	Leaving the 500m JACKSON MISISSIPPI (C Maujean) clipped the heels of DUKE OF ORANGE (*N Nastili) and stumbled. EXHALE (R Fourie), which was following, was directed inwards as a consequence.
c)	For a short distance leaving the 250m DUKE OF ORANGE (*N Nastili) raced in restricted galloping room between JOYOUS JUBILEE (AUS) (R Danielson), which rolled in and FOREST SPY (C Zackey), which rolled out.
d)	Approaching the 100m WAR LAUNCH (*DB Geerthsen) was bumped outwards by GEORGIE GEORGE (M VAN Rensburg) and made contact with SEATTLE RIPPER (S Khumalo) when GEORGIE GEORGE (M van Rensburg) raced onto the heels of a tiring GRADUATION TIME (L Mxothwa) and shifted out when steadied. In this incident, both WAR LAUNCH (*DB Geerthsen) and SEATTLE RIPPER (S Khumalo) were momentarily unbalanced.
e)	In the concluding stages GREAT TIMES (P Mxoli) rolled in and brushed JOYOUS JUBILEE (AUS) (R Danielson).
f)	Jockey S Khumalo reported that SEATTLE RIPPER changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
g)	In view of the performance of GRADUATION TIME (L Mxothwa), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
h)	FOREST SPY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised. (LM)
