THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	QUANTUM THEORY (D Schwarz) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	SWING UPON A STAR (M Yeni) proved reluctant proceeding to the start and had to be led by a Handler. 
Trainer S G Tarry was advised that should this gelding behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended.
b)	Shortly after the start, TAIKONAUT (R Danielson) was unbalanced and had its hind quarters turned inwards when bumped by LUCKY LAD (R Fourie), which was brushed by QUANTUM THEORY (D Schwarz), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
c)	I AM GIANT (K Matsunyane) hung in from the 300m.
d)	Jockey	C Maujean reported that CAPTAIN HINDSIGHT changed stride continually in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
e)	LUCKY LAD (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
