Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ATKINSON GRIMSHAW (S Naidoo) was nervous in the stalls.
b)	EMPIRE BLUE (X Ndlovu) jumped inwards.
c)	GUERRA (R Fourie) and MALDANO (KA Brewer) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After being slow to begin, GUERRA (R Fourie) had to be steadied when tightened for galloping room between HAWK CIRCLE (S Khumalo) and EMPIRE BLUE (X Ndlovu), which shifted in leaving the stalls. As a consequence, GUERRA (R Fourie) lost position and was obliged to take up a position at the back of the field.
b)	Approaching the 400m, GUERRA (R Fourie) was directed inwards in an attempt to get clear running and then was held up behind JASPERO (*N Nastili) until leaving the 200m.
c)	Jockey K Minnie reported that PATH OF CHOICE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	GLOBAL RUSH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SB Kotzen was advised. (LM)
