THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) COSMIC STAR (J R Syster) was baulked for a clear run from the 400m to the 200m. b) Approaching the 200m, CHYAVANA (N Klink) was momentarily inconvenienced when racing into a diminishing run between the outside running rail and TROMPIE (*M K Katjedi). c) Jockey G Lerena reported that SHELDON did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey J Penny reported that he felt something amiss with DANILO DANILOVITCH in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) THUNDERSTRUCK (P Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) TAIKONAUT: Jockey C Zackey weighed out at 54,9kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
