THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	BENEATH THE MOON (K Steyn) was restless in the stalls.
b)	BLACK PATH (X Carstens) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start Jockey J Solomons felt something amiss with INNER SENSE and immediately eased this filly out of the race and dismounted at the 1000m. INNER SENSE was attended to on course by the Veterinary Surgeon. This precluded Jockey J Solomons from being able to weigh in. In terms of Rule 66.2 the Stewards were satisfied that INNER SENSE had carried the correct weight.
b)	EASY MONEY (A Andrews) proved difficult to settle in the early stages.
c)	F EIGHT (JP van der Merwe) was held up for a clear run between the 350m and the 150m.
d)	FLY TO RIO (G Wright) and BENEATH THE MOON (K Steyn) were hanging out in the straight.
e)	In view of the performance of CLOUD CHASER (R Fourie) (Betting 3/1; Distance 7.30) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f)	MISS NEW YORK, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AD Steyn was advised. (SC)

a)	O Noach rode SUMMER FLING (declared 15h55 on 20240602) (Jockey A Arries stood down by the course Medical Officer. Rule 25.12 applied) 
b)	O Noach (SUMMER FLING) rode +2kg of which 1kg was carded (54.1kgs). The Stewards, in consultation with Trainer L Gila, allowed this overweight in terms of Rule 59.9 as no other jockey was available at the carded weight.
