THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CELTIC RUMOURS (G Lerena) kicked the back gates, was removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently withdrawn. b) SASHAY AWAY (A Mgudlwa), RIPPLE EFFECT (C Zackey) and MORGAN LA FAY (S Moodley) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 250m GIMME A SHOT (M Yeni) was carried in marginally by BAVARIAN BEAUTY (C Habib) which was hanging in from the 300m. b) Jockey C Zackey reported that RIPPLE EFFECT made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) DOUBLE GRAND SLAM (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J S Snaith advised (SP).
