THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MAI SENSATION (JP van der Merwe) jumped slow, losing two lengths. b) SPOIL YOURSELF (L Mxothwa) and SWEET CAKE (M Winnaar) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 300m MAI SENSATION (JP van der Merwe), which raced green, was momentarily unbalanced when brushed on the hindquarters by MY ONLY WEAKNESS (R Fourie), which shifted out away from FORGOTTEN SONG (M Mjoka), which raced green. b) At the 200m GOODNESSGRACIOUSME (J Solomons), which raced green, had difficulty securing clear running between the inside rail and DOUBLE DASH (G van Niekerk). c) POCKET DIAL (G Wright) and DIAMOND BOMBER (A Andrews) raced green. d) Jockey C Zackey reported that BACK AT THE GEORGE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) POLYNOMIAL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GW Ennion was advised.
