THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start ZULULANGA (*B Plaatjies) and PANTEA (A Mgudlwa) came together and brushed. b) Shortly after the start PERFECT TRUST (S Moodley) was brushed out by ARVERNI PRINCESS (D Daniels) which jumped outwards. As a result PERFECT TRUST (S Moodley) was slow into stride and Jockey Moodley elected to race this mare with cover toward the rear of the field. c) At the 250m ZULULANGA (*B Plaatjies) was carried out marginally by POPPY OF BAYEUX (M Yeni) which rolled out. Thereafter ZULULANGA (*B Plaatjies) was switched in to obtain a clear run. d) POPPY OF BAYEUX (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D C Howells advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey A Mgudlwa was the rider of PANTEA (advised 12.06.2024/06h57). b) FASHION MISTRESS raced equipped with a compression mask and ear muffs (advised 10.06.2024/10h18). c) PRANKSTER raced equipped with blinkers (advised 11.06.2024/08h44).
