THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DAMASCODORO (Wes Marwing) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) BREATH OF MAGIC (G Lerena) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, DAMASCODORO (Wes Marwing) clipped the heels of ALAKANANI (*M K Katjedi), which was bumped out by MO MENT (J R Syster), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) In view of the performance of LIGHTINTHESTORM (C Habib), which shifted both ways away from the crop from the 300m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) Apprentice N Nastili reported that SUMMER SHADE changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey J Gates reported that he felt something amiss with PARADISE FLOWER in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) LAVA FIRE (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer T Zackey advised (MS).
