THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	BEERENBERG (M Mjoka) was reluctant to load and thereafter was slow into stride.
b)	HOODIA (A Andrews), SOOTY (D Ashby) and GO IT ALONE (O Noach) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Steady rain fell prior to and during the running of this race.
b)	ALL ABOUT AL (C Orffer) and WINTER PEARL (C Zackey) were hanging out from the 400m.
c)	SOOTY (D Ashby) was held up for a clear run between the 400m and the 300m.
d)	In view of the performance of TURBO BOOST (X Carstens), which tired quickly from the 400m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding
e)	Jockey R Fourie reported that MIGHTY MAC changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	Jockey G van Niekerk reported that he felt something amiss with GO IT ALONE. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
g)	BEERENBERG (M Mjoka) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr E Reynders)
h)	Trainer PD Reeves was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate TURBO BOOST against Equine Influenza in accordance with the program of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer PD Reeves signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1 000.00.
