THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	FOUR JACKS (C Zackey) jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	BIG POPPA (JP van der Merwe) jumped slow, losing two lengths.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	BIG POPPA (JP van der Merwe) over raced in the early and middle stages.
b)	At the 50m FAIRE ADVANTAGE (C Orffer), which was initially carried inwards marginally by OZARK (D Ashby), had to be steadied and made contact with the hindquarters of OZARK (D Ashby) when awkwardly placed between OZARK (D Ashby) and SHAVOUT (A Arries), which shifted out. As a consequence, Jockey C Orffer was unable to ride FAIRE ADVANTAGE to the finish. Jockey A Arries appeared before the Board and was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
c)	Jockey C Zackey reported that FOUR JACKS made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	PRIME VENTURE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (TJ)
