THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	DESTINY OF SOULS (X Ndlovu) was nervous in the stalls.
b)	BARZALONA (D Ashby) rushed the front gates of the starting stalls.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	NARCOS (C Maujean) had to be steadied momentarily off the heels of EVIES FIRST (D Schwarz), which shifted in slightly approaching the 150m.
b)	JEWEL CAT (*N Nastili) was hanging in in the latter stages.
c)	THE WINTER LAKE (L Mxothwa) was hanging out in the latter stages.
d)	Jockey M Yeni reported that TIPSY TINA did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e)	Jockey C Zackey reported that VEGAS GOLD did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	In view of the performance of FIRST ORIGIN (*AR Al-Mansouri), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 
g)	In view of the performance of AUSSENKEHR (S Khumalo), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer K Mitchley was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
h)	JEWEL CAT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised. (LM)
