THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MOUNT ANDERSON (S Khathi) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	SLINGS AND ARROWS (C Zackey) was nervous in the stalls, jumped outwards and thereafter was slow into stride.
c)	ZATARA MAGIC (K Steyn) jumped awkwardly and thereafter was slow into stride.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	BUSH TRACKER (L Mxothwa) and THE MAURITIAN (S Veale) came together and brushed slightly at the 100m.
b)	In view of the performance of INHERIT THE RAIN (R Fourie), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
c)	In view of the performance of BRENDEN JAMES (M Yeni), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer K Mitchley was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
d)	In view of the performance of FUNKY MUSIC (*N Nastili), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 
e)	Jockey C Zackey reported that SLINGS AND ARROWS made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer GD Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
f)	SEQUOIA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee G Venter, acting on behalf of Trainer TJ Laing, was advised. (LM)
