Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MACARINA MAMBO (S Khumalo) was stubborn loading, causing a delay. b) ROOMFORMANOEUVRE (S Khathi), AMERICAN PITBULL (M van Rensburg), GLEN NEVIS (Y Ramzan), FLASH LIGHTNING (D Ashby) and LENNOXTOWN (K Minnie) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MACARINA MAMBO (S Khumalo) was buffeted between KOHANA (C Maujean) and GLEN NEVIS (Y Ramzan) shortly after the start. In this incident KOHANA (C Maujean) lost his front footing momentarily. b) LENNOXTOWN (K Minnie) was hanging in from the 400m. c) Approaching the 100m MANEKI NEKO (A Domeyer) commenced to hang in. Simultaneously, ROOMFORMANOEUVRE (S Khathi) shifted outwards slightly. As a consequence, both MASTER FORESTER (S Veale) and MASTER OF DEFENSE (C Habib) suffered varying degrees of interference. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding MACARINA MAMBO (S Khumalo), this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 03/08/2024 to 09/08/2024 inclusive). MACARINA MAMBO may not be presented for re-passing during this period. e) Trainer E Kaknis was charged with a contravention of Rule 38.4 in that he failed to update the passport of DYNAMITE JET with respect to African Horse Sickness vaccinations. Trainer E Kaknis signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1 000.00. f) Jockey S Khathi was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.10 in that made a celebratory gesture prior to the finish line when riding ROOMFORMANOEUVRE. Jockey S Khathi signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000.00. g) ROOMFORMANOEUVRE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised.
