Stipes Report
Upon arriving at the start Jockey S Khumalo expressed concerns regarding PILOT FLAME. The Veterinary Surgeon examined this filly and passed it fit to race, however Jockey Khumalo opted not to fulfil his riding engagement. A replacement rider was sought, however no suitable replacement rider could be found and therefore PILOT FLAME was subsequently scratched. This caused the delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SKYTRIX (T Godden) was hanging out from the 400m. b) BLUE HORIZON (*K J Lihaba), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
