THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MY BEST SHOT (S Veale) and GLOBETONIC (S Naidoo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) PATH OF CHOICE (D Schwarz) was hanging in from approximately the 350m. b) The tongue-tie on PURPLE OPERATOR (M van Rensburg) became detached during the race. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. c) PROPHET (C Maujean) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr M Bawden) d) MY BEST SHOT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
