THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DRIVE BY (*B Plaatjies) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MAC HARDY (T Godden) stumbled badly leaving the starting stalls which resulted in this gelding losing ground to the field. b) Leaving the 150m DRIVE BY (*B Plaatjies) had to steady when awkwardly placed between KING HARRY (M Yeni) which had tired badly and come to the end of its run, and ARVERNI PRINCESS (C Maujean) which rolled inwards. c) Jockey M Yeni reported that KING HARRY did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Apprentice D Pillay (GRANDDADDY PURPLE) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. e) MASTERBLING (*S Hlengwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G B Puller advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
