Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DOITWITHDIAMONDS (MK Katjedi) was restless in the stalls. b) GRECIAN PALACE (KA Brewer) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) En route to the start, Jockey C Habib was dislodged from DOITWITHDIAMONDS. Jockey C Habib was attended to on course by the paramedics and transported to the medical centre for further assessment. DOITWITHDIAMONDS was taken in hand, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and declared suitable to race. In the interim, a replacement rider was sought, united with DOITWITHDIAMONDS and despatched to the start. These incidents, as well as the ambulance having to return to the start, caused a lengthy delay to the start of this race. Thereafter, Jockey C Habib was despatched to hospital with an injured left eye and for x-rays of his neck, as a precautionary measure. b) Approaching the 200m GREEN BUBBLES (JR Syster) was steadied and switched out to continue its run when awkwardly placed on the inside of PRINCESS ILARIA (G Lerena), which was hanging in from the 300m. c) The Stipendiary Stewards have adjourned to review Jockey G Lerena's (PRINCESS ILARIA) crop use. d) CERULEAN DANCER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. JOCKEY CHANGES: a) MK Katjedi rode DOITWITHDIAMONDS (declared 16h58 on 20240815) (After being dislodged while proceeding to the start, Jockey C Habib was despatched to hospital with an injured left eye and for neck x-rays, as a precautionary measure.
