THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start COLORADO CREEK (K Matsunyane) and ASPOESTERTJIE (R A Venniker) came together and brushed. b) MISS GIBSON (N Patel) was hanging in throughout. c) Between the 400m and the 300m ASPOESTERTJIE (R A Venniker) was switched to the outside of runners to obtain a clear run. d) In view of the performance of TIME FOR CHARITY (*K J Lihaba) (6.70 lengths, 14/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) EMERALD GREEN (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
